Trekking In Morocco
Welcome to the Atlas Mountains, home of the Berber people. Come and discover our way of life and experience some of the best treks in Morocco.
The Atlas Mountains
The Atlas Mountain range crosses the northern stretch of Africa and extends about 2,500km (1,500 miles) through Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. The Atlas Mountains separate the Mediterranean and Atlantic coastlines from the Sahara Desert. When you come hiking in Morocco, you will be trekking through some of the most beautiful and diverse landscape on the planet. The mountains are divided into additional and separate ranges, including the High Atlas, Middle Atlas and Anti-Atlas.
Western High Atlas
In the west lies the oldest part of the range. Several peaks in this area (known as the Toubkal National Park) exceed 4000m and its highest point is Jebel Toubkal at 4167m. The mountain is visible from the city of Marrakech.
